Civility and self discipline are the foundations of a society and interpersonal interaction. Dr. Hunt pointed out the degree of anonymity which internet communication allows even to the point of allowing hiding one's identity with others. This can engender intercourse which is demeaning, coarse and hurtful which few would use in face to face conversation.

The take-away from Hunt's comments is we need to exercise restraint and good manners in our dealings with others which come to think of it is the underlying basis for the 4-Way Test. More than ever this is the time to be a practitioner of kindness and actions which promote a more civil environment in which we live.
