On July 8th we heard from Jerry Hawkins, Executive Director of Dallas's Truth,Racial Healing and Transformation organization. Although issues on race and economic inequality have dominated the news for the past several months the TRHT has been present in Dallas since 2016 when the W.W. Kellogg Foundation underwrote its start-up in Dallas and in 14 other metropolitan communities throughout the country. Its goal is to focus energy, resources and dialog among citizens of multiple races and cultural backgrounds on uprooting and eliminating erroneous myths about the hierarchy of human institutions with a primary focus on racism-past and present-in the law and the economy.
