We will have Rotarian Dorm Counselors (chaperons) who will be in the dormitories with you at night and available to you during the day and evening while you are here. Some of the Counselors will be here all three nights while others will only be here one/two nights.
Ground Rules:
1. No participant is permitted to leave the camp with anyone or for any purpose without a signed release form by a Camp Administration Member. If a parent is picking you up they must have a release form signed by the Camp Administration. You must go through the camp office to leave camp regardless of the reason for leaving.
2. Be inside your dorm by 12:00 midnight each night. Do not leave the dorm from 12:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. We will have a DISD security officer and a fulltime nurse here at the camp. They are here for your protection and safety.
3. All dorms are off limits to members of the opposite sex. At no time are girls permitted to visit the boy’s dorm, and at no time are boys permitted to visit the girl’s dorm.
4. The lake is off limits for boating, canoeing, wadding, swimming, or any other activity that would require you to be in or on the water, including just sitting in one of the paddle boats, canoes etc.
5. Your team facilitator Must know where you are at all times. If you cannot be at a certain time and or location stated in the camp program agenda, please get your team facilitator’s permission to be absent.
6. Do not sleep during presentations and keep you head off the table. No cell phones permitted during classroom/seminar hours.
7. NO Alcohol, cigarettes, non-prescription drugs are permitted. In addition, radios, tape players etc. are not allowed in presentation rooms.
8. Beginning Friday at noon, sit with your team members unless otherwise given permission not to do so.
9. Do not leave valuables laying around in the dorm. We ask that you not bring jewelry and other valuables to camp. Rotary and Camp Hoblitzelle are not responsible for any losses.
10. Students will need the following:
• Casual Clothing
• Bed linens
• Soap and toiletry articles
• Pillow
• Towels
• Swim Suit
• Combination lock for lockers
• Calculator
• You might also want to bring bug spray and a flash light.
11. The dorms will be locked during official camp functions or presentations. Dorms will be unlocked during the following times:
5:00 a.m. to 7:15 a.m. 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m.
6:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight
It is our desire for your students to learn as well as have fun. However, for everyone’s safety, we will require students to follow all rules. Serious infractions to these rules will require offending students to call their parents to come immediately pick them up.
