AMBASSADORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
This is a program for outstanding college graduates which enables them to spend a year studying at a prestigious university abroad. Each year our club solicits applications for this program and interviews many college applicants for this special privilege.

    GROUP STUDY EXCHANGE [GSE]
This is an international exchange program in which young professionals travel to or from the U.S. to learn about the business and culture of other countries. Last year, our club hosted a group from Norway. Each year, our club works on putting together an outbound team who will be going to a selected country. The participants are non-Rotarians, generally in their 20s and 30s.

    ENDING POLIO
Decades ago polio outbreaks were a constant threat around the world. After the introduction of polio vaccines by Jonas Salk and Albert Sabin and a steadfast immunization effort, these outbreaks became part of history in most of the world. Yet many still live under the threat of polio, which is why Rotary and its global partners are committed to reaching every child with the vaccine and ending this disease worldwide.

    ROTARY YOUTH EXCHANGE
The Rotary Youth Exchange program students will spend up to a year living with a few host families and attending school in a different country. Whether they participate in Rotary’s long-term or short-term Youth Exchange programs, they will learn a new way of living, a great deal about themselves, and maybe even a new language. Youths who apply and are selected also become an ambassador, teaching people they meet about their country, culture, and ideas. More than 8,000 young people each year have experiences like these through Rotary Youth Exchange. It’s the opportunity of a lifetime. Our Club submits applications received at our office to be reviewed at the District Level and then final approval is completed by Rotary International.

    CLEAN WATER
Safe, Clean drinking water is vital. Over two years ago our Club started the initiative to build a water well to a village in Ghana, Africa. Since then we have provided two water wells and a latrine. We are partnering with the local Rotary Club in the area and will be visiting and starting more productive projects in the area relating to medical and education.

    WHEELCHAIR FOUNDATION
Each year we provide free wheelchairs to children, teens and adults worldwide who needs one, but has no means to acquire one. We strive to give independence to those deprived of mobility by war, disease, accident, natural disaster and advanced age. In partnering with the Wheelchair Foundation we are part of a force that donates over 10,000 wheelchairs per month
