The Centennial Project | Woodall Rodgers Deck Park "The Park"The Rotary Club of Dallas was founded in 1911, club number 39. It was the first Rotary Club in Dallas and Texas. In this century, thousands of members have belonged, providing service to Dallas and the world through projects and contributions of millions of dollars to better the world we live in. Our mission is to provide service to others, particularly our children, our future, while adhering to the highest ethical standards. In keeping with our tradition of service in the Dallas Community, we will commemorate in 2011 as we enter the beginning of a new century of Rotary in our community, a special Rotary section of the Children’s area in the new Woodall Rogers Freeway Park. The area will feature an inviting play area for children to gather and learn in a safe environment. This project will benefit our Centennial Children’s Park Learning Tree Section Project and provide an area to Dallas children to let their imagination run wild and enjoy the outdoors in a safe environment.
